Winners Announced For 2019 BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Awards

Following a record number of nominations and votes, winners have been announced for the 2019 BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Awards, brought to you by TodayTix. The nominees were set, audiences voted, and BroadwayWorld recognized theatres and performers for their outstanding achievement in regional productions and touring shows which opened between October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019.

BroadwayWorld has announced Allen R. Middleton as the winner in the ‘Best Actor in a Play’ category for his role in James Goldman’s The Lion in Winter produced by Falcon Theatre and directed by Tara Williams.

This is Middleton’s second recognition by BroadwayWorld, having won the same category in 2018 for his work in Samuel D. Hunter’s A Great Wilderness. He was also nominated the same year for ‘Best Actor in a Musical’ for Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical.
